Mad World is a multiplayer online game that has been in development for over two years. The game will be released on October 24th, 2018 and is currently available on Steam Early Access.
If you missed out on the previous alpha test of the multiplayer ARPG Mad World, don’t worry: you’ll be getting another chance shortly. Jandisoft has started restructuring its site and accepting alpha sign-ups as of this morning, with intentions to release alpha 3.0 towards the end of the month, particularly on October 25th. According to Jandisoft, the aim is to get more than 20,000 players inside the game at the same time.
The game was intended to debut on Steam in 2018, but delays started piling up, beginning with a projected 2019 alpha test, a wholesale delay due to a publishing agreement with Netmarble, and then expectations for a summer 2020 release. Following that, the game essentially remained silent on its official forums and on Twitter, with the game’s last public appearance being a gameplay video from December of last year, until it resurfaced this year and became completely playable in a browser. This next alpha will most likely be available through a web browser as well.
