The second season of Shudder’s horror anthology series Creepshow, a collaboration between the NBCUniversal-owned cable network and Miskatonic University Press, is now available for purchase on Blu. The show airs every Friday at 8 p.m., with each episode telling its own original tale of terror from an iconic genre filmmaker who has been handpicked by one of the world’s most renowned horror anthologists—New York Times bestseller Stephen King himself!

While horror aficionados still enjoy the original Creepshow, Shudder’s first season earned the Saturn Award for Best DVD/BD Television Release, and the second season is expected to do the same. A third season has been ordered as well. A Creepshow Animated Bonus, A Creepshow Holiday Special, and [email protected] are among the special features of the season 2 Blu-ray. 2021 features an interview with Greg Nicotero, photo galleries, a comic art booklet, never-before-seen behind-the-scenes featurettes, and raw footage from behind the scenes.

Creepshow premiered in 2019 and was immediately renewed for a second season due to positive reviews and ratings. The second season was postponed owing to the Covid epidemic, however the two specials were published in 2020. Season 2 began in April of this year, and at that time, the show had already been renewed for a third season. On September 23rd, the new season debuted. The series as a whole has a 97 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and with its throwback vibe, it couldn’t have found a greater home than Shudder.
The bulk of the episodes in the series are original tales created specifically for the program, but they have also adapted a number of short stories by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill, the show’s original creators. King’s Gray Matter and Survivor Type, as well as Hill’s By The Silver Water of Lake Champlain, Twitterings from the Circus of the Dead, and Mums, have all been included.
